Our History: Revitalizing Black Sparrow
Established originally in Moncks Corner, Black Sparrow Tattoo Studio entered an exciting new era in 2021 when professional tattoo artist Connor Kirkman purchased the shop.
Connor has been tattooing professionally since 2013, honing his craft across virtually every style of modern body art. When taking over Black Sparrow in 2021, Connor set out with a clear, ambitious mission: to revitalize the brand and create a truly chill, welcoming environment where artists feel inspired to produce their best work, and where clients—whether first-timers or seasoned collectors—feel respected, relaxed, and excited.
Over the years, Black Sparrow has grown into a cornerstone of the Berkeley County art community, drawing clients from Moncks Corner, Summerville, Goose Creek, North Charleston, Hanahan, and beyond.

Strict Age Policy (South Carolina Law): You must be at least 18 years old to receive a tattoo. Valid government photo identification (Driver's License, Passport, or State ID) is required for all clients prior to paperwork. No exceptions.
